The online component to this exhibition is intended to mimic the gallery's slide presentation and will therefore ask you to browse through the five "slide carousels" below to look at each artist's image. Please view all of the slides before you cast your vote in order to make a fair and informed decision!

As you go through the slide show, take down the numbers corresponding to the art works that you like. When you have finished viewing all five carousels, VOTE by emailing us the numbers corresponding to your top 5 pieces (in order of preference) to vote@lethaprojects.com. You can only vote once, so make it count!

ATTENTION: As of August 7th, 2002, voting has officially ended and the votes have been tallied. The winners will be announced at the Free Gallery website in late August. (www.freegalleryglasgow.co.uk) Thanks to all who voted and participated!

Note: You need Flash player to view these slide shows. If you do not have this program you can download it for free from the Macromedia website.

Majority Rules! has been created and produced by Tara McDowell and Letha Wilson, a US-based collaborative team that takes an experimental approach to new methods of curating. Their most recent project, (Your Show Here), was on view at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) this past spring, and their first project Curatorial Proposal showed at Artists Space in 2000.

Special thanks to Robb Mitchell of Free Gallery for Glasgow production and worldwide promotion, and for the help and support of Octavius Neveaux, Christopher Chaput, Kate Needham and Jason Middlebrook in Brooklyn/New York City, and in Glasgow, Jim Ramsay, Melinda Stradling, Nicky Paton, Emma Williams and all at Free Gallery and Massiff.
