City of Las Vegas Public Art Project in partnership with the Las Vegas Arts Commission, Department of Public Works and Office of Cultural Affairs This site-specific outdoors sculpture created for the T-Alley project in Downtown Last Vegas features photographs of the natural landscape printed onto corten steel. The locations of these photographs are all within a few hour drive from Las Vegas and include Red Rock Canyon Natural Conservation Area, and Wetlands Park Nature Preserve in Henderson. This piece gives a glimpse of these incredible natural landscapes to the viewer while right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The raw corten steel surfaces of the artwork will develop a rich orange-red patina over time, creating a vivid color element to the sculpture.
